Life Would Be Simpler without Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton lives behind a veil of lies and secrecy.
November is almost here and we are still trapped in the nightmarish politics of the 2016 Presidential election.  I keep hoping I will wake up to a world where neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton are running for office.  But every day the waking nightmare continues.  This election is really depressing.  But I cannot ignore it.  None of us can afford to ignore this election.  We all need to vote and I think I have finally seen a way through to a more moderate US government.

Here is the problem we have faced for the past four years: the Republican Party has put their own interests ahead of the American people's interests in the name of opposing everything President Obama wants to do.  This is an independently established fact.  The Republicans really did connive to undermine Obama's Presidency.  I believe they did it because he is the first Black American President and for no other reason.  That makes the Republican Party the party of white racism and white supremacy.  It is so fitting that they nominated a fascist pig like Donald Trump for the White House.

But as much as I hate Donald Trump I know he will be an ineffective President.  Almost everyone with any sense and reason detests him.  No one in Congress would ever support his stupid ideas.

Hillary Clinton on the other hand has managed to get away with corrupt act after corrupt act going all the way back to the White Water scandal in Arkansas.  Her supporters say she has never been charged with a crime.  Well now we know that she can corrupt even the head of the FBI.  The one law enforcement institution that Americans thought was unbiased simply rolled over and destroyed any hope of honestly investigating Hillary Clinton's email server.  When you give immunity to all the key witnesses and destroy critical evidence as part of your investigation, you cannot show more loyalty to the candidate of your choice than that.

With the Republicans determined to shut down the government if necessary in order to get their way and with Hillary Clinton able to corrupt the government to get her way, it should be clear that we only have one choice left in this election:

We need to vote for Democratic Representatives and Senators and elect Donald Trump a President.  If we're going to have a Congress that undermines a President on everything he does, wouldn't you rather the President be a racist idiot that everyone hates and opposes anyway?  I know I would.

Hillary Clinton will get us into more wars.  She will start more wars in the name of "spreading democracy".  How in the hell do you spread democracy at the point of a gun?  Doesn't anyone care about the hundreds of thousands of lives that have been lost in Hillary's "Arab Spring"?  We need a less interventionist President, not one who knows how to control the FBI investigations into her scandals.

Economically a Republican Congress would be a disaster for us.  They want to lower taxes on the rich and "reduce government waste".  Well, let's start with the waste represented by the Republicans collecting salaries in Congress.  They have already eliminated over 20% of government jobs since 1962 and yet thanks to the Republicans we saw the largest national debt in history during the Bush administration.

What is sadly true about our last true Democratic Presidents is that both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama reduced the national deficit in spite of opposition from Republicans in Congress.  The Republican Party, the people who say they want to eliminate the debt, only make it larger.  And yet when it comes to national defense both Clinton and Obama have been disasters.  President Clinton abandoned US troops in Mogadishu and then he withdrew our support for the Somali people, condemning them to another 20 years of war and suffering.  President Obama withdraw our troops from Afghanistan and Iraq, condemning them to 8 more years of war and giving rise to ISIS.

Donald Trump would be a detestable President of the United States but if we elect a Democratic Congress to oppose him they will promote the best possible programs for the American people.  They would also oppose his proposed tax cuts for the rich that would only make our deficit worse and weaken our economy.

I don't want either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton for President but recent history has shown us that we'll be better off with a Republican President who is opposed by a Democratic Congress than with a Democratic President who is opposed by a Republican Congress.  Hillary might reduce the deficit more but what would be the cost in lives lost through her horrible foreign policy?
